Roof Repairs Slated for Toledo Church
The Diocese of Toledo, Ohio, which last used Saint Anthony’s for liturgical services in 2005, planned to tear down the church and build a community center in its place. After protracted negotiations, the diocese donated the property to the land bank. Ideas suggested for its reuse during a two-hour community meeting last summer included a health-and-wellness center, a museum, and an educational gaming facility.
