About the Event
Ukrainian Village is unique. It is truly a village within the city of Chicago that, over many decades, continues to support and strengthen wave upon wave of immigrants who have moved there from ‘home’. Join us on this popular tour to explore Ukraine's textured beauty and history through the lens of the transcendent as it is indicated through iconography and community.
Your guide, who has led Catholic Church Tour groups through Ukrainian Village since 2010, will open to you the art and creativity, strength and imagination of a people who are continue the fight to retain their identity, culture, and lives. Join us for a special guided look through the Ukrainian National Museum, with it's rare and carefully curated collections and two beautiful churches: the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St Nicholas and the Roman Catholic Church of St Helen.
