About the Event
Join Catholic Church Tours and St. Gregory's Hall for an in-depth tour of the art and architecture of Saint Ita Church, a French gothic masterpiece in the heart of Edgewater.
The architect, Henry J. Schlacks, who built 12 of Chicago's magnificent churches, culminated his work at St Ita in 1927. The 120-foot exterior tower built from 1,800 tons of Bedford limestone, the 200,000 individual pieces of stained glass, and the 4,200 pipes of the organ are just some of the details we will explore.
