About the Event
Don't miss this unique opportunity to explore sounds of sacred spaces. A guide will provide background information about the churches' rich histories and architecture, at which the likes of Antonin Dvorak played. Two guest organist will ply the pedals of the massive instruments on this curious tour. With pipes that range in sizes from the breadth of your little finger to a tree trunk, and sounds meant to join angelic choirs, the churches will come alive. This will be an exploratory tour, rather than a series of concerts, aimed at opening the acoustical beauty and function of churches and their organs through music.
Meet at St Adalbert: 1650 W 17th St. Chicago IL
We will also visit St Procopius, St Mary of Perpetual Help and Our Lady of Peace.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. Transportation not included with this tour.
