About the Event
Join The Calix Society members and others to visit the childhood church and former home of Pope Leo XIV!
On this afternoon tour, you will meet your knowledgeable guide at St Anthony of Padua, located at 1153 S Prairie St. Chicago. While it is not his original parish, this historically Italian church, known for its substantial marblework, serves as an excellent starting point to gain contextual insight into the South Sider who has become the Pope. Our guide will then take you to see Pope Leo XIV's childhood home in Dolton and his boyhood church in Chicago.
Transportation is on your own. If cost is prohibitive, please register on the wait list so we can coordinate to accommodate you. If you would like to take your school, club, park district group on this tour or a similar one, let us arrange it for you!
