Route 66 is turning 100! Let’s hit the road to celebrate! Our Rt 66 Section 2 Tour connects communities from Darien to Joliet. Look out for Jake and Elwood on a rooftop, a sign not to pick up hitch hikers near the prison, and other locally-specific roadway markers along the way. Join us for inside, outside and onsite touring that connects the Mother Road, then and now! Get ready for a good fun, no stress, easy street ride-along look-see down memory lane, Route 66 and so much more.
Our stops will start with a buffet at Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket, listed on the Rt66 Hall of Fame. Enjoy three lively sacred spaces that suggest the highway to heaven is closer than one might think: the National Shrine of St Therese of Lisieux, the 1891 Slovenian church of St Joseph, and St Mary of Nativity.
