Experience the sound of a thousand pipes, with an afternoon organ demonstration from the loft of a historic Chicago church, the "Vesper" sung-chant prayer of a religious community, and a one and a half hour guided exploration of some of the most spiritually profound works in the Chicago's Art Institute Museum. This remarkable opportunity is staged in two parts, the first at St John Cantius church, located at 825 N. Carpenter, famous for it's beauty in form and function. Meet your guide on the steps outside just before 3:30 to be guided through the organ demonstration from the loft. Stay for Vespers at 4:30 to 5:00 pm if you like.
