Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica

Due to the depth of the rich context at Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica, we have scheduled a one-stop tour of the Basilica that will not only open the treasury of history, art and architecture of the church but also the acoustics of this Chicago landmark!

Sound works incredibly well under the enormous barrel vaulted and coffered ceiling of Chicago's original Basilica. Corrado Cavalli, DMA hailing from Turin Italy, will showcase the mighty instrument in the loft of the Italian Renaissance church. He has had thoroughly rigorous education, substantive experience and awards in organ and choral work with Italian, French and other international choirs. On our tour, participants will get an up close experience of how hymnody works and an interior look at how a forest of pipes makes music for God.
