Our Lady of Guadalupe Tour

The Querbus Scholars will tour three distinct historical sites that include a church, a shrine and a chapel. The timing is ideal for this tour since our visit will be in the same week as the big Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The local Shrine shares the indulgent graces of the original in Mexico. We will also visit a popular chapel which highlights the indiginous people of the Americas and the explorers who met them. The second church, a Basilica, titled such for it's size, ascetic qualities and spiritual function, also beautifully exhibits it's native American underpinings. This tour features a fourth church too! It would be a streatch to fit it into the Native American theme, but ... who can resist the influence of the Irish? Our bi-lingual guide and architect, will open the context of why these places are so attractive, and active, beyond thier architectural sucess and historical expanse.
