About the Event

The Qerbus Scholars will tour three distinct historical sites that include a church, a shrine and a chapel. The timing is ideal for this tour since our visit will be in the same week as the big Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The local Shrine shares the indulgent graces of the original in Mexico. We will also visit the chapel of the Madonna of the Streets, which also corresponds to the indiginous people of the Americas and the explorers who met them. The second church to be named a Basilica in Chicago, Queen of All Saints, remarkably exhibits the the native American underpinings as well. We are throwing in a fourth church too! It would be a streatch to fit it into the Native American theme, but who can resist the influence of the Irish? Our bi-lingual guide and architect, will open the context of why these places are so attractive, and active, beyond thier architectural sucess and historical expanse.

This particular Field Trip is open to students, parents and faculty of St Viator.

Feel free to RSVP here, and we will contact you about your interest in taking this tour on another date with your own group (5 or more pelase) or, in order to introduce the idea to your school for a faculty or student field trip!
