About the Event
Continue your encounter with prayer, reflection, history, and community as you walk in the footsteps of countless faithful pilgrims with a day trip through Chicago! Your tour leaves Fischer Hall at Wheaton College and drops at Midway and O'Hare Airports by 5pm. Please ensure your flights are later than 6:30-7:00pm.
Your expertly guided visit will begin with Mass at the magnificent Renaissance Revival Basilica of Our Lady of Sorrows, designated a Minor Basilica by Pope Pius XII. The basilica also houses the National Shrine of Saint Peregrine, a special patron of those suffering from cancer. Our stop at the National Shrine of St Frances Xavier Cabrini showcases a small museum, gift shop and hospital chapel turned Shrine. Mother Cabrini is the first American citizen to be canonized a saint and the Universal Patron Saint of Immigrants. Located in Lincoln Park, this peaceful stop will be followed by lunch at HomeSlice,…
