About the Event
Enjoy three stunningly different masterpieces - a delightful study of structural contrast lit with the refined high notes of their stained glass. Queen of All Saints Basilica is one of Chicago's three Minor Basilicas, designed as a magnificent Neo-Gothic Revival style. Madonna della Strada hints at the modern, while deeply infused with the spirit of Christianity at its roots in America. St Ignatius, a gorgeous Neo-Classical structure, was inspired by the famous IL Gesu in Rome. Each have wonderful, ongoing histories and remarkable stained glass. Lunch details forthcoming.
