American Ingenuity

This enjoyable annual tour begins at Our Lady of Lourdes. Using truely American ingenuity, this brick church was cut in half, moved across the street and lengthened by the strength of horses and the engineering of pulleys. Participants will enjoy hearing about this famous feat in construction, founding personalities and stories about artistic masterpieces still at use the two churches we will visit.  The second church is a stunning Italian Rennesance structure quite distinct from the first.  And though quite small in comparison to its modern counterparts, we will make a visit to the popular local cemetery of the great St. Boniface. Feel free to bring a lunch to enjoy or share in a shady spot there or elsewhere afterwards!
