Bridgeport - Chicago

About the Event

Take a stroll through a beautiful and historied part of Chicago, the Bridgeport neighborhood!

The neighborhood's claim to fame used to be the Mayor Daley, and 12 Catholic churces within a square mile. This fall, we will visit a rare new Benedictine monestary sequestered in the city, St Mary of Perpetual Help, pictured here and featuring three interior domes, and a church that literally started as a stable and was later named 'Nativity.'

Lunch will feature

Participants must register in advance. Coach transportation from Winnetka included. Lunch not included.

Fun Fact: One of the churches on this tour just had a crane pull off the top of one of the bell towers, WHILE the bells were ringing the noonday Angelus.

Would you like to take this tour, or a similar one, on another date? We tour other churches in the Aurora area.

Just call! 312-869-2286. Minimum group size 5; maximum size varies.
