Enjoy an in-depth, on site, guided exploration of the feminine genius!
Such amazing tributes to women from ages past to the present time are fixed with enduring edifices, brilliant stained glass, and telling imagery.
On the weekend when mothers are honored, come learn about Mother Cabrini, the first U.S. Saint, at the National Shrine of Frances Xavier Cabrini. At St Clement, the time obscured lives of ancient women depicted in arches over the crossing will be highlighted. We also think you will enjoy the high beauty of St Alphonsus, in a church that proclaims the wonder of the Mother of God. Three distinct architectural styles will assist our exploration: Gothic, mid-century modern, and Byzantine. The tour will also include a museum and gift shop.
These women have different stories, different legacies but one vibrant focus. They shape our cityscape, and remain an influence of strength and grace. Come be inspired…
